American singer-songwriter Rachael Yamagata will return to Korea on Feb. 26 to follow up her debut last year. "Last year was my first time performing for Korean fans and I was just blown away by the support for me and my band from the Korean fans", said Yamagata through an email interview with Yonhap News. She said that the warmth she felt at her concert in Korea propelled her to put in the hard work to produce her new album.
The singer also said that the concert will be a mix of new songs as well as older hits like "Be Be Your Love" and "Duet", which were popular in Korea.
"If time allows I hope to able to collaborate with Jang Jae-in", Yamagata said.
The 34-year-old singer said that she had such a good time on her last visit to Korea due to the support of photographer Kim Joong-man, a close friend, who helped her communicate with local media and fans.
When asked what she thought about her popularity in Korea, Yamagata said, "It's just such an honor. I'd love to be able to live in Korea and just feel the love everyday".
She also added that she wanted to thank all the Korean fans in advance and that she's counting down the days until her concert.
